Uncle's, Beach, and more

So it has been a few days since I have updated but we have had lots of fun. We went on our first play date, picked up my brother from the airport went to the beach and even visited Grandma.

Why God gave us little girls

So due to a fabric store trip I had some tulle and elastic that I wanted to make some tutu's with and after the tutu I had leftovers...so I thought hey headbands to match right?

With a little googleing and gumption and a call or two to my mom this is what I ended up with.

Just thought I would share with all the other mommys who may want something fun to do for an afternoon. 

Also anyone who has leftover fabric I am in need of some to finish peanuts rug...mostly cotton is preferred but anything will work no matter the pattern print or otherwise. 

Creating New Things

So the past few days have been all about creating new things. Jason had his first Friday off (he gets every other off now) and we spent the weekend doing all sorts of fun things.

I happened upon an etsy posting for a crocheted rug...as I was looking at it I decided that I could do that my self.  So we went through the fabrics we had at home and made a plan.

First I was going to make one for the kitchen and then one for Peanut's room. While examining the fabric we had we decided we needed more for Peanut's rug. Well while we were there I noticed some tulle on sale. Sooo needless to say we ended up with that to make tutu's too. Here are a few photos of this weekends fun.

The last few days.

So the last few days have been pretty much the same as usual. Peanut is a weed who never stops growing and I am pretty sure someone gave her miracle grow.

Parenthood

So it is hard to believe 5 months have passed but here we are.... mostly it is great fun but it is sometimes hard, sleepy, stressful and just mass chaos.

We have learned lots to start with as it so turns out she is a Peanut not a gingerpea. She is a big Daddys girl


Who comes to Mommy for food and songs. Also she is a serious ham and I do mean serious just like her Daddy


Other than that she is a snuggly bug who has brought joy and completeness to our family.


As far as we go everything is the same and different all at once. Jason is in school still but he finishes soon (like mid March oh yea!) I am at home plucking along and we are hoping to have some seriously exciting changes in the next few weeks (cross your fingers and say a prayer). Oh and a biig CONGRATULATIONS to Aderian & Stephani on there beautiful babby girl. And on a serious note our cousin David could use prayers he was in an accident and has been banged up pretty bad.

Baby Blessing and Baby Photos

Well as I am sure many of you know our little pea came to us on Sept. 24th at 9pm. She weighed in at a whopping 6 pds 13 oz. For those who don't know that is at best tiny in our families. It has been a wonderful experience being a parent. We don't sleep as much as we want or do a lot of things that we used too however, we wouldn't change it for the world. It has been wonderful. We have had a lot of fun learning and watching our little peanut grow.

Those are just a small sampling of the many photos we have. But I figured you all had more to do then look at photos.

Also Miss Elz's is having an event coming up! Her baby blessing : ). For those who are unfamilar a baby blessing it is an ordnance done in the LDS church that is done to add a child's name to the records of the church. This is so the baby is accounted for within the church, it does not however make them LDS that is only done through baptism and that can not be done until after the age of 8. This is a very special event for our family and we welcome all of our friends and family to come and witness this event. We understand that due to the date that most will not be able to attend however we wanted to let everyone know that they are welcome.

 

 

It will be held at the LDS church at 4075 Riverside Ave Anderson, CA @ 9am on Dec. 26th. Like we said we know because  of the date most can  not attend but we welcome all. Please email if you think you can make it. 

Lastly we hope that the hiatus of the blog should be over and hopefully you will hear from us more often. We love you all thank you for all of your love support and gifts. We know that thank yous for the babies gifts and support but we are terrible at that stuff and they may not go out we are grateful for them all and we love them all. Also we wish you all a Merry Christmas and warmest wishes for the new year.
